It’s clear that you don’t want to be in the dark during the app development process. You trusted us to create a mobile application; this also includes your money, time and nerves. It is impossible without you knowing how our app development process is built.
Since the foundation of ANODA Mobile Development Agency we were testing different schemes of app creation process and finally came to the one we have now which is perfect both for our customers to make the app development process easy to understand and for us to create mobile applications quickly and efficiently. For you to have a clear understanding of the project path for the better communication, we are happy to present you the project roadmap.
We are aware that you may be afraid for your idea to be stolen. Its normal fear and we respect your decision. That’s why before we even start talking, we sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) so you feel that your ideas are protected and belong only to you.
2 FIRST INTERVIEW
Creating a mobile application is like building a house.
To have a good house, which you can upgrade, with no fear it would fall, you need a solid foundation, right? Building a foundation for your mobile application starts at first interview, where you tell us the what is your app is about: is it a business app or the mobile application itself will be a business, what features you want it to have, what budget you have for it.
From our side, we’ll be happy to answer all your questions about our company, our experience, how we work, and we can advise for their app. Yes, based on our significant experience in app development we can give you some advice concerning your future app on the first interview. This stage of app development process also includes requirements gathering. We try to collect as much information about the mobile application you want to create to understand what exactly what you want and give you a rough estimate.
Wireframes are the schematic screens of your mobile application created considering the information about your app you gave us. It includes entirely all screens and interaction that your future app can have. In most cases customers are uncovering tons of hidden functionality on this stage, because we are working on each screen, on each linkage, trying to remove all blind spots, draw all flows of the app. It’s all done considering User Experience (UX) research and guidelines. Designers create wireframes in tight communication with Quality Assurance department that helps to follow the app development rules.
During the wireframes stage, we ask you detailed questions and advise on some parts of the app that can be done better to raise the productivity or user experience of your app. After designers create wireframes, our Quality Assurance department takes over and starts writing the functional documentation.
4 FUNCTIONAL DOCUMENTATION
This is where our QA engineers analyze the wireframes and using the information that you gave start writing Functional Documentation. It is a significant text document that explains every step that can be done in the mobile application. Basically, this document describes the logic of the mobile app. Based on this document by QA department and wireframes by UI/UX designers our developers can calculate the estimate.
5 APPROXIMATE ESTIMATION
Estimation is a number of hours needed to bring your app to life and close-to-real app development cost. On this stage, you can match your expectations, reality, and your capabilities. Often here we recommend our customers to cut some of the features that are not crucial for the first version of an app. We always recommend building an MVP app first. It’s faster, it’s cheaper, and it saves a lot of nerves. Whether cutting some features or leaving as it is, we move closer to development.
This is where our designers turn wireframes into something beautiful – design of screens that the real mobile app will have This is the latest step before actual development starts. The goal of this stage is to create a final user interface for the app from the wireframes. They are created with User Interface (UI) best practices, to make your future users fall in love with your app from the first use. Designers work tightly with iOS and Android developers to make the design practical.
The cost of design depends on two factors: the number of screens and design iterations which is easily calculated after wireframes are done. It means you will know the exact price for design before we start this stage.
7 PRECISE ESTIMATION
After a design is created good news follow it. We can give you a precise estimation – the exact number of hours we need to create an app and release it to conquer App Store or Play Market. Knowing the number of app development hours we can tell you the exact cost of your mobile application.
8 PLANNING MILESTONES
We don’t want you to stay blinded until the release date that’s why we split the project into milestones – short periods of development that include some part of the mobile app. So you will see when and what you will have in your app.
At the end of every milestone we can give you an app that you can check and see how the process of app development is actually going. It is convenient for every side – you are happy because you see how your app gets developed almost in real time.
The most massive step in creating an app. This is where our Jedi Masters of app development get to work. They work strictly according to wireframes, functional documentation, and design.
We are proud that our iOS and Android developers write only clean code, it makes it easy to make any improvements during the development or future updates. While other app development companies take extra price for Quality Assurance work, we provide it for free.
During the process of app development, our QA team is testing everything that can be tested at every milestone. Any bugs that are detected by QA engineers get promptly fixed by our app developers. It means that you have crashfree part of the app at the end of every milestone.
10 FINAL TESTING
This is the latest step before an application is submitted to the marketplace. It doesn’t mean that only now QA department begins its work. An application is tested before at every stage of development. On “Final Testing” stage all development processes have ended, and your mobile app gets tested from the bottom to the top.
The goal is to work through all the possible combinations and make sure that mobile application works flawlessly. If we find any bugs on this stage, we fix them and perform full testing again. After final tests are done no bugs, and crashes found we submit your application to the marketplace.
On this stage, you have a complete app. And while we are testing technical stuff, you check a business logic of the app, to make sure everything is right on that side.
11 MARKETPLACE SUBMISSION
The moment of the truth. We are submitting your mobile app to the application marketplace. We do all the technical stuff: upload code of the app, icon, screenshots, etc. All marketing materials as an app title, tagline, description, are on you.
This is a final step of app development process after which people can download your mobile app from a marketplace and use it on their smartphone, tablet or another device.
12 FUTURE UPDATES PLANNING
When your mobile app hits App Store or Play Market it’s not the end of our partnership, it’s a beginning! To be competitive your app needs to be updated constantly. So as soon as MVP is released we start discussing with you milestones for future updates.
There will be dates of releases of new versions of your app with a description what set of features will be in the every update. It will help you to plan your budget and release app updates constantly – this is a winning strategy to make your app a blast.
